1971 Gaja Barbaresco Sorì Tildìn

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

95 Points

Friday, October 4, 2019 - 4 hours into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Leaf” day): Pale bright ruby to the eyes.

Riper red berry fruits than 1970 and more structured and arguably more layer but less integrated than 1970. Technically you got more on the nose though. Transparent and super pure.

Bright acidity and just the right amount of tannins. Long and persistent finish.

Hard to score this anything under 94-95 points.

2nd round: really up on the nose! Super complex and complete nose. Clearly more to come and super impressed - 95 points for sure.
