96 Points

Friday, November 8, 2019 - Yellow citrus, lemon and lime zest, yellow pear skin, white stone fruit, quince, pumice, limestone, cardamom, and a hint of white pepper and acacia. Speeds through the mid-palate and whips ahead on a direct course to the rear. Slightly pithy on the finish, but it doesn't clip it at all; in fact, the tail goes on for over a minute. The back end is where it is most noteworthy, gaining even more speed with gorgeous acid and grip, pumping primary but flavorful yellow citrus, spice, and floral notes that rush back in for another stab at it. The lingering white pepper note dances on the tip on the tongue.

A wine to hold to be sure, but certainly not a total party-foul to open now. I really loved the drive here. 95-96++ points for now. Try again in a couple of years.

11/8/2019 8:08:00 PM - Nice note, but I’m gonna need you to get off this French kick and get back to reviewing a dozen amazing Napa Cabernets on a weekly basis. Thanks :)

11/8/2019 10:00:00 PM - Hahaha. I hear ya. I’ll be making a concerted effort over this next week to reign in on my foreign change student program, get back to my Napa roots, and post some good ‘ol fashioned Cult Cab CT notes! :)
