Saturday, September 13, 2008 - A bit unfair trying this after the '06 Walter Hansel. Completely different style though. Quite a bit of alcohol on nose with more extracted fruits, dense, almost overripe. Rich cherry and hints of raspberry on palate. Not a balanced wine. No focus on this wine. Finishes with almost a cherry cough syrup quality. 2nd time trying with same results. However, their Chardonnays are amazing!
