Thursday, November 14, 2019 - Tasted at a local wine shop that I frequent, with a small group led by Nicole from Moet Hennessy. This wine has a majority of Carneros fruit. PnP and for me a bit too cold. It is a light to medium yellow color with a green tinge to it. The nose was somewhat muted (not surprisingly given the PnP and temperature) showing some smoky oak, citrus and vanilla. I was told it underwent partial malolactic fermentation. Palate had medium acidity and only slight creaminess along with lemon, white peach and a saline but somewhat bitter and rather short finish. Decent layers of flavor and good texture/body but overall meh?...wish it had some air and warmth to show its true potential.
