Thursday, November 21, 2019 - On opening, nose of plums, dark fruits. There was quite a dominant woody aroma to it. Palate had a good amount of acidity and tannins were quite chewy at the beginning, decided to let it aerate for about 3 hours. The wine opened up, more liquorice, vanilla aroma now. Tannins were more mellow, balanced quite well with the acidity. A pleasant bottle of wine after decanting, I think this would need a good few years to reach its full potential.
