Saturday, January 11, 2020 - A big, ripe style with dark cherry notes and some high note herbs and showing a pleasing cocoa nib on the finish depending on which food I was having it with. This is about as ripe as I would want and in fact it's a bit too ripe and heavy for my taste, but a very nice wine and a good aged Brunello deal under 50 USD. This is a wine to pair with steak or other grilled meats or otherwise hearty, deep dishes.
