91 Points

Friday, January 31, 2020 - PnP and then an hour in the glass(es). My first RH but it is an Abreu/Grimes wine for sure. For my palate, a nice wine but already moving past it’s prime (nothing wrong with it) as the alcohol is more pronounced as the other flavors are more in the background- however more years may provide upside for the onset of tiertary flavors (purely speculation as that would not be my preference as this wine may have been a better fit for me at ~7 years of age).

Wonderful aromas of cassis, touch of grape, dark cherry with a palate of dark cherry, blackberry, black cherry slight tobacco, a touch of earth. 91 for me and with those with a similar palate drink up. If I had this earlier would have been a higher score for sure. Those that prefer more age, your guess is as good as mine.

Do not take this wine at this stage as an inference to the first label(s) that are absolutely outstanding, with or without age.
