Thursday, December 8, 2005 - Very dark garnet robe. Immediately after opening, there was a lot of bell pepper and spice on the nose, overshadowing but not completely masking the fruit. But after a couple hours of air, the black fruit comes through and the bell pepper fades, leaving a complex but fruity nose. Good structure in the mouth, with an ample mid-palate and a long finish. Tannins still a bit chalky. This one will last a good many years yet.
