Thursday, June 18, 2020 - As others have pointed out, this is a great complement to the WV bottling. More unctuous and richly textured (in the scheme of Goodfellow Chardonnay), while nonetheless coiled and steely with tremendous acid backbone.

Upon opening, it's unmistakably Durant fruit: There's some strange and not at all unappealing reductive-type smell right off the bat that I always detect in Durant Chardonnay that blows off with some time in the glass. Yesterday when I drank this, that took an hour or two and it was nice to follow its evolution into something cleaner.

Tremendous value here. For me, this is a good candidate for a case purchase.
