Wednesday, July 1, 2020 - Sauvignon Blanc is not my favorite grape varietal. This was part of a virtual wine club tasting with a stress on natural wines. I opened the wine and initially there was not much to it. I let it warm up and decanted it and it improved some. It was clear and straw colored. Some citrus notes and spice on the nose. Nice balance of fruit and acid but not my style. Tasted again after two days in the fridge and it was a little more refined. Floral notes on the nose in addition to some cooking spice. Soft tannins and pit fruits with a relatively extended finish. Not sure it will get any better with age.
