Wednesday, July 8, 2020 - Exceptional. Explosive aromatics of honey, basil, almond, smokey fruits (honeydew?), and floral notes (honeysuckle or jasmine?). These complex aromas come through on the palate, but with a really nice underlying flinty quality as well. Acid remains high and finish is long and dry. Mid-palate is interesting because there are some very nice petrol notes sneaking in as well. Starting to pick up the interesting mature notes. Colli di Lapio really shouldn't be drunk younger than 4 years I think.
