Sunday, August 30, 2020 - Beguiling nose of violets and dark cherries. The palate is brighter than the nose would imply, with a broader red-fruited profile, a touch of menthol, and plenty of acidity. There is an iron, rustic element on the finish that reminds you this is Gevrey, and moderate acidity. With air the fruit turns a bit sweeter and spicier to better match the acid. This is classic Fourrier and absolutely delicious. Look forward to revisiting this with some bottle age.
