Friday, October 2, 2020 - This has somehow ended up on my everyday quaffing shelf. First sniff and I realised it was head and shoulders above that. Blackcurrant, earthiness, a touch of tobacco with depth and a reasonably long finish - that I suspect may have come about over time, although some reviewers said to get drinking it within a few years in 2017 and I am drinking it in 2020.
No, it’s not the most complex wine I have ever tasted, but it does have plenty going on and is a real treat with a steak on a casual Friday night. Very enjoyable and the quality shines through from first sip.
