Sunday, November 29, 2020 - Very good. I think this will benefit from being approached again in 4 - 5 years time. It has all the ingredients to become a really impressive wine. Having said that, waiting will be hard as it is already tempting and has real presence today. I opened and decanted at 9am, for dinner. When first approached around 5pm it had a pronounced vanilla note, quite a lot of depth of fruit...was very good with roast chicken. Higher notes were evolving by the end of dinner. To give a sense of how much I was enjoying it I declined dessert to continue with the next glass. I saved half the bottle till day 2 and could really see a difference, less vanilla and more savoury chocolate and deeper fruit. I really think this will be very, very good given time in bottle.
