I think the reviewer before me captured the notes perfectly on this - nose is super complex and interesting - cassis, pyrazine notes, cedar, tobacco. Palate is big for a 20 y/o - dark cherries, cassis, bell pepper, leather some oak and tobacco with a long finish. I agree that this wine while huge, is surprisingly well balanced. The oak blew off after the first 2h and toned things down a little. What a ride on this interesting wine.
