Monday, December 7, 2020 - Krug 168eme
•
Based on 2012 vintage, with 1996 as the oldest vintage in the blend.
•
Medium light yellow colour with the nose of freshness - fresh stone fruits, generous apples and zest, brioche and pastry. Not a lot of complexity like 166eme, it’ll need bottle time to develop.
.
Palate was similar, very fine mousse. We tasted again the next day, the champagne was more complex with buttery pastry, cream, honeyed apple, peach, melon.
.
I’ll keep it in the cellar for the next 5 years.
