Monday, February 8, 2021 - 14.5% alcohol; composite cork with maximum of 2 mm wine penetration, light to medium-weight foil; fast to medium legs, dark purple; cork exudes a hefty scent of bourbon as does the wine itself, along with toast and avocado notes; the wine was opened at room temperature (25 degrees C), vinturied, and tasted twenty minutes later; if you like bourbon, you won't be put off by the bourbon barrel treatment; otherwise it ruins what could otherwise have been a decent wine -- with a long finish now permeated with a bitter-like aftertaste; no rating given
