Sunday, March 7, 2021 - Champagne gold. Not much going on in the nose. Ripe orchard fruit and some brown sugar. Fantastic on the palate. Apple skins, grape skins, baked apple, very ripe mandarin orange, candied citrus peel, and peach. Doesn't seem auslese sweet; no doubt due to the very bright, powerful and refreshing acidity balancing the sweetness. This makes it rather good as a wine to go with a meal. Some citrus pith bitterness at the end. Good length. Outstanding stuff and a great drink now.
