Thursday, February 11, 2021 - Dark, brooding workhorse wine. Not as blocky as Felsina Rancia, for example, but in that direction. All the Sangiovese flavors one wants and expects in a semi-modern, but not ostensibly so, package. We liked it but it probably won't break into our rotation. I'd happily drink bottles off a restaurant list or grab a bottle with some age from a trusted source. I do have a sneaking feeling that this could be one of those wines that you lose a bottle or two in the cellar and it really surprises you later on.
