Friday, June 11, 2021 - How can this wine be so brawny and so balanced at once? It’s like dollop of black cherry compote, flavored with pine and sage, wrapped tight in cellophane. Juicy, but not sloppy. Loads of lovely secondary flavors like wild mushrooms, smoke and some meatiness. Contained, aromatic, long on the finish. I love this wine and I can’t believe it’s older than my cousin who’s a junior in college.
