Friday, July 2, 2021 - Elegant, soft, dark-cherry infused moist smokey earth, and a nice finish. But definitely, at least in this bottle, getting far down the Syrah maturation path. I have had older Hermitages or Cote Roties that held strong, so it must be the bottle. The nose did give up some some of the cherry and woody foresty notes, but the Syrah edginess was missing,as was greater delineation of fruit found in the first 3 bottles. Drink up.
