from combo of estate fruit and grapes from select Napa Valley growers.
Each lot tasted and tested daily to determine vinification regime.
Aged 20 months in French oak barrels (37% new).
14.1% Abv. 60500 cases
History: First vintage 1893
[Not to be confused with Stag's Leap Wine Celllars]
Purchased by Beringer (now Treasury Wine Estates) in 1996.

A(ccuracy)=2: Deep dark ruby. Plush brambly Cab blend.
B(alance)=2: Ripe fruit with adequate acid structure.
C(omplexity)=2: Dark berries, plum, herbs, earth.
D(epth)=2: Dense mouthfeel. Full length and finish.

Still youthful and tight-knit. Bit monolithic.
