Thursday, July 8, 2021 - I'm clearly an outlier here. I find this wine pleasant, but lightweight and boring. If you told me that this was a $15 monastrell from a region in Spain I've never heard of, I'd think that makes total sense. Light, almost spritzy, flavors of blackberry and game. Weak tannins. The idea of decanting this or aging it for decades seems preposterous.

    7/8/2021 10:54:00 PM - Have you tried other vintages of this bottling (ie Domaine Tempier Bandol Red) with, say, 6-9 yrs of cellaring? They tend to be quite good. If you have more bottles of this vintage, revisit in, say, 2024-26… I think you may be pleasantly surprised.
