Wednesday, September 29, 2021 - So.....second wine of the 2018 Bordeaux release in Vancouver sampled....after the imposing Pagodes des Cos sampled as the first one.
On nose: smoke, tart raspberries and green pepper.
On palate: an enhanced follow through of the above, as well as Asian spices, youthful, bracing ( but not overbearing )tannins , with minerals and warm cassis notes as it warms after only an hour and half decant( thanks for the tip on decanting for too long, Jeff Leve!)
A very pleasant , classic, Haut Medoc......worthy of aging , but fairly approachable currently....went well with Steak & Frites tonight.
