Friday, May 3, 2019 - Light+ crimson brown to bricking rim
Tertiary bouquet of sous Bois, undergrowth and touch manure. Then black cherry, raspberry and dried strawberry add a sheen of delicious macerated fruit. Further opening reveals Chinese 5 spice and cherry compote.
A succulent entry with macerated black cherries, red Maraschino cherries and cranberries. There is a fabulous aromatic component in the mouth that lifts through, giving freshness. Reasonable concentration, the accent here, is on the attractiveness of the wine. It embraces you with fine-boned tannins, very elegant with a curve to the palate shape and this fantastic succulence that persists to the long finish—beguiling wine that is complex, on point and extremely good.
