Thursday, November 11, 2021 - Luis rides again @ The Kenwood: PnP - This wine, and the Rivers Marie drank along side, show how people's palates differ. These are the same wines Rocknroller commented on, and while this wine was squarely in his wheelhouse, the Rivers Marie was squarely in mine. Still, no arguing that this is a nice wine. However, IMO, it drank younger than the 2015 Rivers Marie. I think this wine needs more time to develop, others thought it was in a peak window....depends on what you like!

Wine showed delicate white flowers on the nose, coupled with hints of spice and stone fruit. I thought the palate was slightly muted, with some pear, limestone and stone fruits. Oak was well integrated. A nice Chardonnay that I believe will improve with further age. 92 today, chance of improvement with some additional time.
