Saturday, August 27, 2011 - Very much like the ‘04 bottling, but a bit hot initially. After it settles down, it is very much like the ‘04 bug bigger, fuller with cherry, smoke, herb and cola. Not a bit hot at all - a very pleasant discovery. Very velvety as the night wears on. Like the ‘04, it pairs nicely with the truffle salt. 14.7% alc. A second wine with smoked duck with blackberry sauce (and a side of mashed potatoes). Recommended.
