Saturday, December 4, 2021 - Inaugural vintage of Guidalberto. 40% cab s, 40% merlot, 20% Sangiovese. New world style. Surprisingly vibrant on the nose, hazelnut, toast, blackberry, blackcurrant, wet leaves. A lot of energy on the palate. Medium plus flavour intensity, medium plus finish. The best performing vintage comparing to 04, 16 and 17, which generally use 60% cab s and 40% merlot. I do believe Sangiovese adds a little touch of Tuscan nuances.
