Saturday, December 11, 2021 - Decanted 3 hrs. Cork perfect. Some funk on opening, disappeared on drinking time. Brownish rim, colour more like a Bx than Syrah. Large bq w blackberries, tobacco leaves, white pepper, charcuteries, dried cherries. Medium+ body w silky tannins, nice acidity, dark fruits segueing into an aftertaste w herbs, touch of salinity. Complex aftertaste 45+ seconds. Extremely elegant for what really is a rather powerful wine. Probably 2-3 yrs after absolute peak, but still a great wine!
