Saturday, February 5, 2022 - Medium ruby garnet. Aromas of black mission fig, redcurrant, coffee, stems, a hint of vanillin oak, a whisper of raw meat. Very winding palate from dense peppery dark fruit at the front on a firm gritty tannic base in a crisp acid frame, to sweet back notes of fresh red fruit tinged with black pepper, ending on a very long finish. Carries its 14.5% alcohol with muscular grace.
