Friday, July 1, 2022 - One more bottle tasted. and again Perrot-Minot lacks a compelling personality compared to the top of Burgundy. It might well be that winemaking would make a difference here as the geography of the vineyards would tell a different story. Most if not all Perrot-Minot wines are correctly made and very pleasurable. But the wines lack the emotional depth, the wow factor. Like Bachelet, Duroche are some names that produce way more compelling wines here. For reference (but outside of Gevrey-Chambertin) personality wines would be Cecile Tremblay's wines and Emmanuel Rouget who you (at times) would recognize instantly. The Perrot-Minot is a correct wine from a famous vineyard.
