Monday, December 3, 2007 - Terroir-istes International - Italy, Chianti Classico (Rodwell House): Attractive bouquet of wafer biscuit, red cherry, macaroons, fresh oak (sauna wood), cigar box and soy.
A thick texture with lively fresh acidity, good depth of flavour and well balanced. Flavours of marmite, sour cherry, vegetal and tilled earth add complexity and the oak gives a wood smoke element. Good length, delightful.
