Texturally fairly nice, with medium to full body and zippy acidity, but not much complexity or signs of early maturity. The finish is a bit flat in the sense of not having the round fullness of flavor aged Riesling can develop. I realize this note is pretty negative. But a lot of that is the context of another recent bottle of older Prüm which was transcendent. Maybe this 05 BB Auslese just needs more age. Or maybe it's just not that complex a wine.
