Friday, September 3, 2021 - Blind Bordeaux 5/6. This was easily the lightest colored wine tonight. It was a gorgeous clear ruby color, with a blue hue. In the mouth, I instantly grinned, this beguiling beauty was an exercise in purity. There was also a beautiful inner core of sweet clear red fruit that was light bodied, and laced with the lightest hint of spice. This might be in a most perfect place as it has obviously shed all thoughts of youth, while having no qualities of old age. Perfect. I think I wrote pretty in my bullets three times. This might be the first nearly perfect 1945 I have drunk, and wow impressive! British bottling. Not in decline! (98)
