Thursday, September 14, 2006 - I had one glass of this around 1993, and it still is the benchmark of what I look for in a red wine. A few recent California Pinots Noir have been on the right track, and some 1994/95 California reds were heading that way but nothing has left such an impression as the 1969 Château Lafite-Rothschild.
