Tuesday, August 26, 2014 - On initial opening at room temp of 72F, this was overtly high in ethaol vapors but the fruit was solid, so back in the refrigerator for 20 minutes and then out for the rest. Seriously solid fruit core of cassis and deep red cheery and oak showing as dark chocolate and roasted coffee bean. Thick mouthfeel but the good acid to tannin ratio makes this a really enjoyable bottle of wine. Went well with strip streaks and grilled Zucchini and Summer Squash.
