Sunday, January 24, 2016 - 2005 Hewitt exhibits a bright lively color and nose. I popped and poured, but this wine requires a serious decanting. Upon opening this wine was light on the palate and showed more of a dainty, finesse- feminine style. A Cab with nice structure, elegance with tolerable acidity still. This vintage is holding up very well.

Day 2, a much better showing. Red-dark berries, fruit, tobacco, traces of Rutherford dust and medium tannins. A very pleasant wine at the end. 90.6 Points
