Sunday, August 19, 2012 - AO's chard might be my favorite wine from their portfolio. Light yellow color. Great nose of tropical fruits, vanilla bean, creme brulee and toast. More tropical fruit on the palate along with some butter poached pears and sweet spices and vanilla oak. Great balance and mouthfeel and a delicious, long finish. Paired with a traditional clam bake but the lobsters dipped in drawn butter really brought out the best in this wine. Wish I had more in the cellar!
