Monday, October 31, 2011 - a second look at this wine shows that it has appreciated a little time sleeping. a deep brownish red, the nose shows aromas of sap, black tea, soil, raspberry, and rose - very aromatic. the palate shows red fruit, spice, and subtle earth that is lifted nicely by juicy acidity. it's full-volume cali pinot but with great structure and acidity. i can't see these getting much better and they seem open for business.
