Wednesday, June 22, 2016 - Raspberry, cranberry and tartness on the nose. Medium bodied and wonderfully round and smooth through the middle, especially after being open for an hour. Raspberry upfront with strawberry and cranberry behind. Acidity based tartness comes in towards the back and through the finish providing structure and balance. Hints of minerals on the finish, but generally a slow fade-out of the tart fruit. Not quite as much complexity as some other vintages of R-M Sonoma Coast but retains the excellent balance between fruit and structure. Fantastic value and drinking very well at present. May gain a little more balance between fruit and acidity with some additional time, but I'd drink this within the next couple of years.
