Monday, January 19, 2015 - A bit sweet on the nose with some hints of cedar and even some savory overtones. Front is rich but not particularly balanced. There is decent acid but its such a big wine that balance is elusive. Mid-palate calms down a bit and the acid begins to assert on the finish but this is a metal concert on your palate not a symphony. If this wine were a beer it would be an Imperial, "more" of everything for better and/or worse. I don't dislike this wine but it kind of tires the palate out early.
