90 Points

Thursday, May 8, 2014 - Color: medium-deep ruby -> light ruby rim. Red-fruited bouquet showing off with pulped strawberries, cranberries and a hint of provencal herbs. Palate very Grenache-dominated at this point; not getting the garrigue/barnyard (on the nose either) others are noting yet. Big for a CdR though: full-bodied midpalate, really luscious and long. Right now, this is more akin to a California Grenache than a CdR; needs time to develop the wonderful nuances we're all looking for.
