Kermit Lynch, through my exposure to his wines, is as consistent as Rickey Henderson in his prime...and, factually, more so. The man flat delivers at high levels at modest prices. This wine continued to build in appeal during our meal tonight at Garces Trading. I dined with 2 colleagues and we had a NY white on the table (very nice starter), Kermit and a much more expensive Aradian Syrah from Cali. I didn't share much background on the wines but the behavior was telltale. On the red side, everyone reached for this bottle disproportionately. Great balance, bright, easy to match with food. Just. Plain. Money. Rickey would be proud.
