Monday, July 28, 2014 - A bit big for my tastes. This has big nose of dark fruit, violet, notes of oak, hints of smoked meat. The palate is big, ripe, and a touch hot. There is plenty of fruit and noticeable oak. The finish is a bit off. This may improve with time, but it is definitely not one of the better wines I've had from Charles Smith.
