Sunday, January 4, 2015 - I didn't keep any kind of formal tasting note for this wine, as I was too busy enjoying it. Got off to a bad start with the cork pushing right into the bottle. So I decanted it, and the wine was in fantastic shape. Although the wine stayed in the decanter for an hour or so it didn't deteriorate at all. Absolutely fabulous wine - I'd have to say one of the best bottles of anything I've ever had. Beautiful balance, length, acidity, it was amazing. Wish I had another - you would never pick this wine as 40 years old.
