Monday, May 27, 2013 - This didn't have the inky color and tremendous robustness of the 2007, but it still is better than medium-bodied with cherry/fruit/earth taste and nose. Am rating 86, with the proviso that I think this will continue to get better into 2013 and 2014, seemed a tad young, so I would try another bottle towards the end of the year (which will be 5 yrs old). Definite oak aging apparent. As always, a good bargain if you are looking for a robust style Barbera that can stand up to tomato sauces and such. We had it with BBQ and it stood up to it.
