Sunday, November 19, 2017 - Opaque black with an inch pour. Generous aromas of blackberry, black cherry, forest floor, and lavender. Glides into the mouth softly, with refreshing acidity and rounded but drying tannin. Has a good acid hit from the swallow, cushioned by integrated and gentle texture, finishing with still firm tannin. No longer has the gushing upfront fruit of the young wine, nor is the feel quite as lushly rich. But does have better integration, a more soothing feel, and finer elegance.
