Monday, October 13, 2014 - Like many Rhone wines from the 2007 vintage, on release this wine was dark, fruity, lush, and mouth filling. A classic GMS blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre, and 10% Syrah, except that the amount of Mourvedre is unusually high. The main changes 7 years later are that the feel in the mouth has evolved to show more of the drying but smooth tannins from the Mourvedre, plus better integration, balance, and savoriness. Will continue to drink deliciously for at least another 4 years.
