Sunday, April 2, 2023 - Tasted at enoteca La Vite Turchese in Barolo. Today's tasting was Barbaresco and blended Barolo (sampling the different soil regions in the DOCG). Shop owner brought this out after. 20+ year Barbaresco. Nose has fruit and a bit of interesting funk, like a delicious cheese. Red fruit on the palate that lingers to a long, clean finish. Tannins have softened to almost nothing. Crazy good. Calling it a 94 as it drinks today, on a tough scale. Its not less than 93, this is really really good.
