Tuesday, April 12, 2011 - Just tasted a bottle of this wonderful wine with Ugo Lequio at the winery in Nieve. The 1999 is drinking beautifully, with plenty of fruit and gentle tannins. It is loaded with cherries, and has a spicy note. It is an elegant wine, but also still powerful. It is mouth filling without being heavy. The long finish adds to the potential for a great food pairing. I would try duck, or if I ate red meat, I would do that too! It's a great value. Found it on wine searcher.
